MADAM LILIAN NANTARE KALEMERA HAS BEEN PROMOTED TO GLORY

The late Madam Lilian Nantare Kalemera
Dear friends of Arise Africa on behalf of the Directors and staff of Arise Africa international i regret to inform you that Miss Lillian Kalemera has gone to be with the Lord. She died on Sunday morning 7 th September at Arise Africa Christian Guest House Plot 23 Wilson Avenue. Its not quite clear what time she actually died as by the time her door was broken after unsuccessfullygetting her to open, she was found already dead.

We think she died at around 11 am in the morning when all of us were in Church. According to her personal doctor Dr Grace who has been treating her and who was with her on Saturday night before she died and checked her immediately after her death said she thinks that Miss Lillian Kalemera died of the blood clot in her lungs. This is in relation to her symptoms that preceded in the 48 hours prior to her death. An EKG was done on her the Saturday before she died and no heart attack was evident. In plan was to carry out further tests on Monday September 8th- unfortunately, she did not make it.
Miss Lillian Kalemera spent her last two months on Arise Africa land in Bukaleba where she was engaged finishing the study centre buildings in preparation of the training of pastors, the women, youth and children in our churches and communities. I have to say the results were remarkable. As much as we know she has gone to be with the lord because of her evidential strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ the ministry, staff and her friends will miss her very much.

PASTOR SMOOTH TEAM VISIT

The people of Kangulumira are certainly going to remember the 18th of August 2008 when they got to hear the word of God from 13 men and women of God from the USA. The team was headed by pastor Jonathan Smooth and his lovely wife. The team was to spend five days preaching the word of God at Lifeway Baptist Church Kangulumira, evangelising to the children and also held a crusade every evening. It was indeed a blessed time for all of us.

Brother Scot shared and taught from the book of Titus placing empasis on the responsibility of church elders and all church members as a whole. Pastor Smooth shared with the congregation about the power of prayer and how to pray. All members of the group shared their testimonies and also taught about things like hygiene and others. The kids also had a marvelous time with Kim, Peggy, Barbara, Donna, Austin, Scot's wife and the camera man matthew. The story would not be complete without mentioning Brother Jack (guitar) and Sister Blair-They played us some good songs and it was really a blessing to have them around.
The team also attended church service at various town churches around Jinja. When it come to unwinding on Sunday afternoon-Bugee Jumping on the River Nile was the thing. Pastor Smooth, Austin and Matthew ewed us with their courage to jump from that high. Arise Africa international is indeed grateful for the time Pastor Smooth's team put in to preach the word of God to Ugandans.

ARISE AFRICA INTL CHILDREN/SCHOOL MINISTRY

Media ministry was blessed to have ministered the gospel of Jesus Christ in seven schools and communities around the shores of Lake Victoria this month. We were helped by a team of missionaries from Australia. The activities were carried out in the same routine and varied from: Bible story telling, Singing, Beads making, games, altar calling and prayer.

The schools that were reached are the following and they are all located in Mayuge district: 21st July Lwanika Primary school, 22nd July (Morning) Lake view Primary school (Afternoon) Lake View Primary School. 23rd (Morning) Nakalanga Primary School (Afternoon) Walugembe Primary school. 24th (Morning) Butembe Primary School (Afternoon) Butembe orthodox primary school

A lot was achieved we reached seven schools/communities. Over 2000 children/pupils were preached to and 600 got saved by prayng the salvation prayer. The children, teachers and parents learnt about God's love for them despite their pathetic situations of living.

Prayer requests
Pray for God's provision for us to be able to reach many other children and schools with the gospel.

God's protection upon us as we travel to different places.

God's saving grace for his people.
Alice Kyozira. Department head
